Production Assistant – Alton

We are looking for someone to join our clients friendly production team in Alton.

You will be producing products for interior designers, high-end retail and large commercial customers.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce products (individual bespoke orders to large batch stock or commercial orders) on time as per schedule
• Cut the laminate and material of the desired template, minimising wastage
• Tape and glue shades together with the highest quality of finish (no loose threads visible and well bonded seams)
• Provide fabric samples to customers
• Test COM (customers own material) for suitability and calculate quantity of COM required for shade(s) required
• Quality check all finished products before wrapping to ensure they meet quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the department

Requirements for this role

• Textile experience essential
• Good Problem solving skills
• Ability to learn quickly and continuously improve technique and productivity
• Craft skills to help with the development of new types of products
• Basic computer knowledge to use Epicor software and Microsoft Outlook emails
• Communicate in a timely, planned way to other departments for metalwork, boxes and UK assembled products
• Communicate complete jobs to sales office and Marketing Director to trigger dispatch
• Flexible to work in other manufacturing or testing roles if demand for work in your department is low

Days & hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm (40 Hours – Paid).
