A small but important children’s charity are seeking someone to take control of the Financial side of the organisation. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to be a big part of a small team, where their input will be of great value to the organisation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Eventually be able to prepare accounts for submission to Charity Auditors
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
  • Reconciliation of Bank accounts
  • Inter organisation Bank Transfers
  • Supporting the CEO with international Transactions
  • Management of Banking Systems, FX Agents and Accounts
  • Analysis (via Excel) of individual cost centres on an ongoing basis
  • Payments to HMRC
  • Processing and reconciliation of Gift Aid received

Person Requirements:

  • At least two years experience in a similar role and preferably longer in some type of accounts related work;
  • An accounting qualification equal or great than AAT level 2;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel and Word;
  • Good working knowledge of Sage software;
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work without supervision;
  • The ability to assess and reorganize/update current systems with the eventual aim to bring all accounting requirements in house;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Be proactive and able to work to deadlines.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday (Tbc)
